CHÂTEAU ÉLAN PARTNERS WITH YMCA IN
SPONSORING 2ND ANNUAL ADOPT-A CAMPER GOLF TOURNAMENT
BRASELTON, GA October, 2007—Château Élan will again partner
with YMCA Camp High Harbour in a fund raising effort to send
kids with financial needs, ages 7-17, to camp in 2008.
For the 3rd consecutive year, Château Elan
will sponsor the “YMCA Adopt-A-Camper” golf tournament and
donate its 7,030, par 71, championship Chateau Elan golf
course on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. A maximum of 144 players at
$625 will be sought. Currently participants in last years
tournament including some of Greater Atlanta’s most
prestigious law firms, businesses and business leaders, have
already committed foursomes to this years event.
In a joint announcement, Henk Evers,
President & CEO of Château Élan and Ken O’Kelley, Executive
Director of YMCA Camp High Harbour stated “We are committed
toward raising $125,000 to send 175 kids (an increase over
last years goal of 155 kids) with financial needs to camp
for a week. The camps offer an experience that changes lives
and creates memories that last a lifetime. We are targeting
youth in Atlanta as well as the rapidly growing communities
of Gwinnett, Hall, and Barrow counties which the 3,500 acre
Château Élan encompasses and is its leading leisure and
corporate travel destination business enterprise.”
Corporate organizations and individual golf
enthusiasts interested in supporting the “YMCA
Adopt-A-Camper” golf tournament can reserve their space as
four ball partners at $2,500 per team or $625 for individual
players by registering online at
www.adoptacamper.com
. Each player’s tournament fee covers the total cost of
sending one deserving youth to summer camp. An additional
venue for fundraising at this years tournament will be a
silent auction held in the Golf Pavilion following the
tournament. The auction will offer highly valued sports
memorabilia as well as vacation trips to popular
destinations.
Each summer, YMCA Camp High Harbour serves over 5500
campers. For many of these campers, this experience at camp
happens only through the generosity of others.
